I have been monitoring the 12v battery now for many months now. Graphing the trend.
As winter approaches, I have noticed that the battery is dropping down, lower and lower.
June/July it would go down to 12.5/12.6v after 24hrs of not being driven and now it can reach 11.9/12.0v after 24hrs.
So the moral of this story is that if the trend continues by new year, I will need a new battery.
Why does this car not detect a very low 12v battery and initiate a charge from the main batteries.

That is barking to be fair. Should be a simple software check to boost when required. That how I thought it worked. Mind mine died after a 200 mile journey. Figure that out.

Its bananas that they cant get something so simple sorted out.

I noticed Nissan is now ranked as JUNK in the S&P this year.

With all the new car manufacturers coming out and competition increasing. People are going elsewhere.

The problem with the 12v battery is due to the down inverter that translates the 800v battery down to charge the 12v battery. The controller is not charging the 12v battery properly.

Nissan has a recall to fix this. My Platinum+ is scheduled for this fix Wed."

Gosh this battery situation is like a rabbit hole. UK forums are dead compared to USA.

Everyone should carry a socket set to undo the battery terminal to allow for resets and a portable 'charged' battery booster to jump start the car.!!!

Probably something like this.. "NOCO Boost X GBX45 1250A 12V UltraSafe Portable Lithium Car Jump Starter"

I carry a booster, since mine died. Can't risk it now, don't trust the car to do the right thing. It's now even started not starting up properly, it's like it I haven't put my foot on the brake whilst pressing the start button.

Until now 7 months with my Ariya and no problems with the 12V battery whatsoever.
