Nissan has cut the on-sale price of its flagship electric SUV, adding two new specification levels to bring the model below the £40,000 mark.

As of 1st August 2023, ARIYA pricing will be adjusted to offer a more competitive customer proposition. This new pricing, combined with the two new grades, offers a competitive and accessible price point, combined with a varied and exciting line up, for customers ready to transition to electric motoring. All existing 63kWh ARIYA will be reduced by £3,000 and all 87kWh variants will be reduced by £3,750. This reduces the price difference between the 63kWh and 87kWh batteries to £5,000. The line up now starts at £39,645 and the top spec ARIYA is available from £59,025.

The range now opens with the Engage 2WD, which can be selected with either a 63kWh or 87kWh battery.

ARIYA Grade Introduction
ARIYA Engage 2WD is available in both 63kWh and 87kWh battery sizes. It will be offered at a new entry price point of £39,645.

Evolve+ is a new top-of-the-range e-4ORCE derivative and is priced from £59,025. This grade offers the highest power output of the ARIYA line-up with 394PS (388 HP) and faster acceleration that goes from 0 to 62mph in just over 5 seconds, perfect for customers who seek a more exciting driving experience.

Nic Thomas, Nissan GB Marketing Director commented: “ARIYA is a key pillar of the Nissan line up and these two new variants will make ARIYA more appealing to a much wider audience. Nissan’s electrification strategy involves making EVs more accessible and a new entry grade and new top spec variant, both timed with our enhanced pricing, are working to deliver a more enticing customer proposition, based on both price and performance.”

ARIYA Engage 2WD: More accessible and well-equipped
The Nissan ARIYA range introduces a new entry level variant. Engage is available with a 2WD drivetrain and either a 63 or 87kWh battery. It delivers 251 or 330 miles of range respectively (pending final homologation), offering customers two great options to best suit their transport needs.

The Engage variant provides an excellent balance between ride comfort and handling agility. The exterior boasts striking features like LED headlamps with high-beam assist, front fog lamps, LED rear fog lamps, heated mirrors with automatic folding capabilities and 19-inch alloy wheels with aero covers.

Nissan's timeless futurism design language carries into the cabin, fusing aesthetics with functionality. The spacious, lounge-like interior features premium fabric seats and exemplary legroom. Paired with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Navigation and virtual personal assistant, ARIYA is as comfortable to drive as it is to sit in.

The Engage grade also features ARIYA's distinctive monolith display with dual 12-inch TFT screens, power one-touch windows, rear view camera, heat pump and adjustable drive modes. Standard safety and driver-assist features include Intelligent front emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection along with Intelligent Cruise Control and rear emergency braking with pedestrian recognition.

Evolve+: making ARIYA even more exciting
At the top end of the line-up, Nissan now offers the ARIYA Evolve+, improving power output and acceleration over the existing Evolve grade. The new variant offers an output of 394PS (388HP) and 600 Nm of torque, up substantially compared to 306PS of the existing Evolve e-4ORCE grade. This makes Evolve+ incredibly fast, enabling it to go from 0-62mph in just 5.1 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the original iteration, while still offering 310 miles of range (pending final homologation).

In addition to all the features of the Evolve – such as a panoramic opening sunroof, Intelligent Rear View Mirror, head-up display, power-adjustable centre console and steering column, Bose 10-speaker stereo and temperature-controlled front seats – Evolve+ also features 20-inch alloy wheels with aero covers and a rich, Nappa Blue leather seat trim.
