Sofar I have seen three reports of this (including yours).
The other two made the car unable to go into drive mode. One was recovered to a garage the other is waiting to be recovered as I type & it’s not mine
EV Owner for over 12 years, Ariya 87kW Evolve Akatsuki Copper is my latest.

Mine is still drivable but car goes into low power mode and you can only get about 40mph car going into dealership on Monday for checks

Thankfully mine hasn't done that yet. However with so many software glitches, it is possible.

Had this happen to me today. Stopped for a charge at a Geniepoint which was immediately followed by the EV malfunction screen of doom. Ended up getting the car recovered by RAC and a courtesy car home

I have had the same issue. Lost power but manged to reach hard shoulder and rescued (eventually) by RAC. Diagnosed as a faulty 12v battery by dealer workshop.
