I have to stand corrected with regards to V5 the dealer is not allowed to change your V5 because of the data protection laws !!! . Not sure if a fee will be incurred by DVLA but garage said they will reimburse me 👍

My garage says DVLA doesn't need to be notified but will check before motor swap booked for the 19th November

Got my V5 back today just short of 4 weeks.

FYI
You do need to send off V5 because the engine
Number on your V5 is the traction motor number
I sent the recall letter with a letter from dealer stating motor had been changed with new number to DVLA along with V5 recorded delivery just in case they didn’t receive it.
All free of charge from DVLA
So this is the end of my journey with traction motor recall. Very painful for me hope everybody has nice smooth recall

Same as yourself …….changed engine number ….sent off , signed for . Not had mine returned yet .Not sure if insurance would need notification ?
