We recently received our 2024 Nissan Ariya 87kw evolve. Everything has been going fine, it’s a brilliant car and all but recently, after locking the car and walking away, the car alarm starts blaring. This happens multiple times even after unlocking and locking the car. The only thing we can think of is that we have set the car alarm setting to ‘ask’ instead of ‘always on’ but even when setting the interior alarm to off it still goes off. Does anyone know why this could be happening and how we could solve it? It’s getting quite annoying now and means we can’t leave the car.

Seems like an issue that needs dealer fixing.

So, had the Ariya now for over 18 months and had a few of the established niggles (inflating lumber, New steering wheel and driver display, alarm activation during pre-heating etc etc). Recently though, I now have an alarm activation during warm weather when the sun is out. No problems at night, or during overcast days just when the sun is shining on a relatively hot day. The only way to stop constant reactivation (After about 20 minutes of silence), is to un-lock the car. Just another lovable little quirck but anybody got any ideas?
Thanks

Add it to the list, but never experienced this. I am have the Body Control Module which seems to interface with multiple electrical systems to resolve my car dieing. This was eventually put down to door looks not working properly. Not sure if it's going to fix my problems, but it could be part of the problem as I have multiple electrical gremlins, which is a sign of the BCM starting to go. From what I have read anyway. Happy to be corrected though as I am no expert. Fingers crossed though, but definitely a dealer fix

Have exactly this problem with a 2023 Ariya e4orce. Alarm due to air con was fixed a few months ago but now alarm just goes off constantly unless turned off.

Also have issue with external sensors fault.

Plus... parked one sunny day, went for a walk. When returning to car the brakes were jammed on, with a flashing handbrake light and a screen warning of a brake fault. Called Nissan Assistance - RAC and told 4-6 hour wait! After a few hours tried turning on again (third try) and fault disappeared!

Had three Kia cars, inc one full ev and never had any issues, none ever in 10 years.

Shame as Ariya seduced us away but now wondering why we put up with quirky software that has little user control and now also has a growing list of faults. You can't even watch video on the screens, we could on 5 year older and much cheaper Kia car!

Grrrrr
PS it is a dream to drive slowly or in a straight line at speed.

You can watch video on the Ariya, it has a USB video player, also if you don't mind doing "sketchy" things, you can also stream through Android Auto your phone's display like I do to watch YouTube for example, and if you have a rooted device streaming services even!

In regards to the software issues, it's an all new platform for Nissan, a few issues are normal among any manufacturer when this happens, I'm sure non of your previous cars were models that were the launch product of an all new platform, let alone among their first 2 years or so.

For what is worth the Ariya has fewer and/or lesser issues than for example an ID3 at launch that had a massive and very important software recall, even so that production had to be stopped for months.

Thanks for the heads up on video, ill give it a try.

No need for the defensive response over faults. The comparison to the ID4 is irrelevant, finding worse examples does not solve the issue, nor does it help. Nissan need to work faster to fix things, especially jamming breaks and safety equipment failures!

I mean, my dealer on Spain has been stellar and quick fixing all my issues, including new firmware for DC-DC converter, braking noise on front wheel, newer firmware for infotainment than current OTA and for some safety equipment units, and do to slight noises on rough roads new glass roof, fixed glovebox, new inner support for right mirror, new driver seatbelt and new inner mechanism for right rear window.

And now a new noise appeared within the inner part of the front passenger side dashboard and I'm confident they will fix it too, this is of course because Nissan has given green light to my dealer to fix all this and my dealer has the willing to fix it.

You can see it as a defensive response or irrelevant comparison to any other car whether being worse or better examples.

You're milage may vary like everything but my support experience has been stellar, better than some premium brands I would say.

That's quite a long list of issues! We have much the same with wheel squeaks, breaking scratch. Alarm issues, jammed breaks, etc. At only 13,000 miles.
How do you play videos on the screens?

My front right brake has just started speaking to. Only when I reverse and turn right at the same time.

Got service soon. Add that to the list.
