According to Nissan WiFi map updates are not working right now, for whatever reason, only USB ones. Technical support told me they are aiming to solve it but it's not a priority right now.
New map update available!
You must use a 32 GB USB stick (FAT formatted)
- In the car Select [Menu] > [(All) Settings] and select [System update]
- Select [Maps update] > [update via USB] > [Save maps information to USB]
- You can now insert an empty USB stick into the USB port of your vehicle - Please note! If there is information on this stick, it can be deleted.
- Select [Start] and after saving the map information, press [OK]
- Go to https://apps.nissan.navshop.com and create an account here. You can also download the Map Update Tool here
- Insert the USB stick containing the vehicle information into your computer to synchronize with the Update tool
- Select 'Add Map' next to each map you wish to download. You can choose multiple cards at once.
- When the download is complete, you can remove the USB stick from your computer (Note: choose 'Safely remove hardware' from your computer
- You can now place the USB stick in your vehicle (make sure that the vehicle stays on)
- The update will start if not:
Select [Menu] > [(All) Settings] and select [System update] >[Update maps] >[Update via USB] >[Install map update via USB].
Select [OK] once the update is completed
