Re: What testing will be done?
There are a few threads talking about the testing they have been doing. I am quite honestly impressed. Nissan seems to take their vehicle testing very seriously and tests for just about everything and every scenario.

Re: Nissan Ariya boot space
I guess all this space is thanks to the battery sitting beneath the vehicle. Love to see it. I know for me, having a lot of boot space is important. We have a growing family here with kids and pets so the space is needed for travel, shopping, and just general everyday use.

Re: Aerodynamics on the Nissan Ariya
I had no idea there was a shift in focus to this kind of testing for everyday vehicles. I have only ever heard of this for sports model cars and race cars. Interesting stuff!

Is installing a home charger expensive?
I will need to get one installed when I get my EV. I don't want to have to rely on finding a charging station or public charging port. We seem to not have enough in my area. I have heard of waiting times being over an hour in busier spots. I would prefer to just charge at home for this reason. Is in...

Re: Nissan Ariya Crash Tested
I am glad to see proper testing is being done. I feel like we have coasted by with minimal testing from a lot of brands but places are finally doing more agressive test runs, especially with EV models.
I would not want to be one of those test dummies! LOL

Do you have to change tires more often in EVs?
I read somewhere that because the weight of EVs tends to be more, this causes more wear and tear on the tires and thus, requires more tire changes.
I am completely new to EVs and neve have owned one so I am curious to know if anyone here who has more experience knows if this is true or not.

Re: Are electric cars the real future?
In some places, it will take much longer. I think the push to go full electric will happen in the UK much faster than in places like Canada or the USA. Just look at buying patterns and availability.

Re: How do prices compare between electric and petrol?
As of last year, the average is about half the cost in an EV when compared to a petrol-powered vehicle. I would say the differences have changed since then with petrol costs going up a bit. Some places have expressed that electricity has gone up as well so it is hard to get a definite answer across ...

Re: How much lighter are electric SUVs?
From what I understand, the average weight if we compare the same size SUV in EV and standard, the EV weighs more! This is because EVs have very heavy batteries in them and are often heavier than engines believe it or not.

Re: Do you prefer the sound of EVs?
I am not sure. I do like the sound of an engine but having been in an EV several times this past year, the minimal noise is almost relaxing. I can actually hear the outside world and it feels less stressful being in a car.
