Re: 450 miles sub zero towing a tonne
Charging faster? The flat 90kW curve is the maximum charging speed for the Ariya when the car detects you're on a long trip, even when the temps are hot outside, this is normal behavior, you charged at maximum speed. The 130kW charging curve is only granted for a single time on a driving session whe...

Re: Let it snow!
The e-4orce system is wonderful, very underrated, it's even able to somewhat control aquaplanning to some extent on circuit sport driving and other scenarios.

Re: Accessory Service Connector location
Seeing on the service manual there seems to be several accessory connectors, one specific for front fog lamps, other for towing, other for scuff plate lights and other for welcome lights. Aside from those there are other two accessory connectors that are not specific to something but for... some gen...

Re: Nissan Connect Live Maps and Data
For Spain at least there's has been 2 map updates that I've installed manually by myself through USB, so there has been map updates.
I also had one OTA update in May 2023, and a new one is coming soon apparently.

Re: Honda & Nissan to merge
It's not a fusion but a forming of an automotive group/joint venture under the umbrella of another entity. It's not confirmed yet anyway. Either way they will form a strategic alliance in a few months meanwhile. Also if the joint venture finally goes through Mitsubishi is considering joining too.

Re: 12v battery discharge again
My dealer told me that if the gateway previous software is to blame it should now be corrected with the new recall campaign, if the issue is caused by another thing then not. No 12V problems so far with my Ariya since the GWY update and my dealer tested the 12V battery and it reports 70% of cycle li...

Re: Body Knocking Noise
Just a little update. I took the car back to the dealer yesterday and they located and fixed the fault that was creating the knocking noise. It was a failed joint on the front right hand drop link. A premature failure after only 10.5k miles but, thankfully, the noise is gone! Glad they found the is...

Re: New Ariya software update
If it helps in Japan all Ariya's built after March 2024 don't need the recall update and can receive directly the new OTA update, so probably those two May 2024 Ariya's will not get the campaign letter because those units have already the newer gateway software.

Re: Charging and range experience on a vacation road trip
Having done 16 k miles now mainly motorway my conclusion is that it’s ALL TO DO WITH SPEED. Tuck in the Left lane joining the HGVs doing 56-60 mph and the range is excellent (3.7 m/kWh) will get you 300 miles even more if you take it down to the limit. Middle lane “normal” speed set on 70 mph takes...
